The roof vent was fitted by FRAYZ and what a job he made as you can see, cheers frayz, still not closed it frayz, LOL.

OcTag3n 21 July 2010 09:09 PM

Best colour by a mile!

JonsGreenGoblin 21 July 2010 09:14 PM

Luckyscoob 21 July 2010 09:37 PM

joz8968 21 July 2010 09:38 PM

With that roof vent in place, you can now drive about with a plumbed in, fully functioning TMIC strapped to your head....

Drive around with that open in the sort of weather we're having at the moment, and there'll soon be a variety of dead insects impaled on his head. And shoulder. And on the seats, and the centre console and the....;)

joz8968 21 July 2010 09:43 PM

Ha ha ha ha ha. The scene!

a16pse 21 July 2010 10:35 PM

Funny, so the spec c roof vent is just for the winter months lol, i do get a few insects on the inside of the vent cover but thats about it, must say the breeze you get through it is very nice. Cheers for your comments.

kj200sx 21 July 2010 11:10 PM

i agree had my vent open all day today and amazing how cool it gets top looking car by the way mate well nice

joz8968 21 July 2010 11:17 PM

Seriously, that's a pukka rally vent and really looks the part (unlike those huge fibreglass 'dummy' ones!). I bet the breeze is wicked in this weather?

Nice one.

a16pse 22 July 2010 12:00 AM

the vent is a genuine subaru part bought from japanparts there expensive but i think it was well worth the money and i cant thank frayz enough for doing a 1st class job of fitting it which he did a maddogs house, so thanks to both of you.

a16pse 22 July 2010 05:56 PM

Forgot to mension the roof vent is a spec c item.

Tomwrx 22 July 2010 10:12 PM

very nice mate,

prodriverules 22 July 2010 10:15 PM

nice fella,i like them in black although you could do with sorting the swirls in the paint out no offence like but they show up terrible in black:thumb:

a16pse 22 July 2010 10:31 PM

i did have it detailed a few months ago and it does need a good wash when i took the pictures, i sometimes struggle finding time to spend a day waxing it .

terzo314 22 July 2010 10:33 PM

smart car, love it!!!!!!

i know what you mean mate, thats the only thing i hate about black, look the nuts when just waxed though:thumb:

The Rig 22 July 2010 10:44 PM

Stunning

only thing that would top it off would be to lower it

fastboyslim 22 July 2010 10:47 PM

Could you take a pic of the rear wing please? You got a lip on it, where you get that?

a16pse 23 July 2010 12:37 PM

Its on prodrive lowering springs and i love the ride quality as for the lip on the rear spoiler ill get a couple of pics up fpor you, i coppied of frayz so if you look at his prodrive thread you will see it on there, i paid £17 inc delivery off ebay IIRC its for the bmw e46 mate , cheers steve.

Claaarkio 23 July 2010 12:42 PM

Awesome motor, please give your cars paintwork the love and attention it deserves on such a nice motor! a polish to remove all the swirls and some wax to finish it off nicely! would then look amazing! :)

a16pse 23 July 2010 03:24 PM

Ill go and get some elbow grease and get stuck in this weekend, i dont enjoy cleaning cars, im a bit more of a user than a cleaner, lol. Ill get it waxed this weekend, it does deserve it as it is in mint nick

joz8968 23 July 2010 03:38 PM

"Wax on........ wax off."

LOL

frayz 24 July 2010 05:21 PM

Looking good Steve, Youre very welcome regarding the vent.

Always nice working on a nice car :thumb:

carl heath 24 July 2010 05:36 PM

some clean and look at them and some use em and enjpoy them.im a bit of both really, but when you have it mint it upsets you when you get a scratch,or scuff,or like me you kerb ya wheel when youve just had refurb and new vreddys,im so gutted,no im really gutted !!!!!!!

a16pse 24 July 2010 10:24 PM

At the end of the day its a car thats all, i have a good friend who has spent over 20 grand on a MK2 golf, ok its a very nice car i kid you not but he is to scared to use the dam thing, its like having a big plasma tv and and watching a portable cos your to scared to turn it on, its not an ornament FCUK THAT , these things are ment to be used, Swirl marks, whos bothered it wont go any faster without them and sure as dam it, it wont be worth any less or more for that matter when i part chop it for something else.

carl heath 24 July 2010 10:55 PM

another factor is children,if you have young kids then all free time is with them so you havent the time to be anal, you can wash, vac,do inside and wax it,take all day on it but it stays like that for a couple of days. if it rains then its back to how it was in first place within hours !

a16pse 25 July 2010 10:54 AM

Exactly my point, just use the dam things, thats what their ment for, it does get looked after, it wants for nothing with no expense spaired on it, when the time comes it will be a great buy for someone i can tell you, she is mint and like i say very well looked after.
