headgasket

if i change a headgasket on a 95 import wrx engine do i have to worry about the compression being higher after the heads being skimmed?? will it put more strain on the bottom end?? just wondering if ive been imformed correctly?
thanks in advance

If heads, or blocks, or both, have been skimmed, you should fit a thicker head gasket so as to keep the compression ratio the same.

Failure so to do WILL almost CERTAINLY lead to disaster. New engine time. Get it checked out sooner rather than later.

+1 get the engineer to tell you how much they skimmed off and then talk to an engine builder who will tell you how thick to go mate:thumb:
