ECU fault - injector output failure
On behalf of a friend who is having a problem with the ECU
Car: 54 plate Bugeye Problem: Injector 1 output failure from ECU Symptoms: Misfire cylinder one Does anyone know if the ECU can be repaired or how much a new or refurbed ECU will cost. Any recommendations or advice appreciated. The car is based in Norfolk if that makes any difference. Cheers Andy. |
Anyone got any ideas ?
Bump :)

If the injector driver MOSFET has failed, then, yes, from a technical point of view that can be replaced easily. Although, I don't know of anyone doing that kind of job on a commercial basis.
Cheapest way of replacing the ECU would probably be via a used one from a breaker or eBay - although if it's a UK car you would have the extra knock-on cost of resyncing the immobiliser. |
