eBay brakes?
Hi, I just want to ask some advise about brake discs. I'll soon have to replace my brake discs and pads on my 01 WRX, for around £240 on eBay I can get a set front & rear set of grooved and drilled discs and red stuff pads front and mintex pads rear. Does anybody know if these discs are any good? I'm just asking cause I don't understand why they are so cheap compared to other Subaru specialising shops.

You get what you pay for?
Personally, there are two things I won't economise on: brakes and tyres;) |
For discs I'd just go to a motor factor and get a reputable pattern part, then spend a bit extra on the pads.
|
I used a set a few years back, got brake judder within weeks! Were poor when up to temp. Noisey too!! As above you get what you pay for.

Get some KSport 330 fronts for £699 ;)

As has already been said "you get what you pay for"
On top of that I personally wouldn't be putting drilled discs on a road car as they are noisy and tend to crack between the drillings ;) |
i would speak to bob'5 from aztec. fcuk getting brakes from ebay.

I ordered these discs off E-bay and they looked GREAT:thumb:
Only slight problem is that they didn't actually STOP the car:brickwall Just about to place an order with Godspeed as a result. |
