2002 Bug STi Clock Not Working and then Randomly Appearing??
hi guys
as above my clock seems to have stopped working correctly, sometimes it'll be off then it will miraculously appear and then it will usually stay until i switch off but recently its started flickering on and off or even sometimes comes on faded.. any ideas whats happened? think he has a virus lol cheers |
Mine has a mind of it's own aswell, has not worked for a year then came on. WEIRD, think we had better call Mulder & Scully.
|
Its a common problem, there is a SMT resistor in the clock circuit board and one of the solder joints breaks, if you do a search on here you'll find it with some piccies. Or just take your clock out and have a poke about. I did mine a few months ago, 30 minute job.
|
If the joint is broken then surely the clock would not work at all. Not come on when it feels like it.

i have same fault on 02 sti,ive read about the FIX by soldering the joint but havent got round to it yet.
