The Dross forum?

I see we have a dross forum.
A fine idea me thinks.
I gather it is the kingdom/pond of SN's very own "Hurtle the Turtle"?

The Zohan 25 January 2010 04:46 PM

Seems a shame really, is it required and why?

Lee247 25 January 2010 04:52 PM

Some blasts from the past in there :D

SunnySideUp 25 January 2010 04:53 PM

Where is it?

Lee247 25 January 2010 04:54 PM

Thanks to the moderators who are giving SN an enema: and banishing that rubbish to where it belongs.

dpb 25 January 2010 05:33 PM

As far as im aware it was specially conceived for the purposes of dropping off 1 in 3 of Petes thread :thumb:

SunnySideUp 25 January 2010 05:39 PM

Shucks ... my very own Forum .... what would you lot give to be as loved and followed as I am? :lol1:

dpb 25 January 2010 05:52 PM

and its not a *forum* at all , not sure where this came from - its just the rubbish bin !

ALi-B 25 January 2010 06:40 PM

What the hell?

Thats a relic from the SDB days during the muppet "clear up".

Still, a worthy place for such posts, in addition to our sin bin :D

A forum for those who just can't help but whinge, moan, complain about "the authorities", bicker, back-bite, or just be plain nasty - basically the misfits. To save them dragging the rest of us down, we've given them an environment of their own!
We already had that, and it was a great success. :)

Oh gawd, not again!

LA LA LA LA not listening LA LA LA LA

(actually, I'd love it to be like the days of old, but I can't wave a magic stick and make it happen :( )

SunnySideUp 25 January 2010 10:02 PM

Take 'Puff The Tragics' Mod-Wand off him then, and we may just get back to some form of fun again! :D :lol1:

Puff The Magic Wagon! 25 January 2010 10:09 PM

It's fun, don't worry :D

SunnySideUp 25 January 2010 10:13 PM

SH1T- that was a quick response!!!! You ARE stalking me after all

Anyway, put your Mod Moving Wand where the sun don't shine and let the fun roll gently on ....... there's a good lad :D

If a thread has transcended the rules, why not just have the strength of character to ban it and to say why. All members could learn from that too.

More humourous/less controversial?

Because a certain member is an arse. He continues to be an arse and I predict he will be an arse long into the future. Putting the threads there treats them with the disrespect they deserve. :D

Dedrater 26 January 2010 01:01 PM

^ You can't say fairer than that!

Lewis is unbanable Les - weve seen this over the last couple of years

Leslie 26 January 2010 01:52 PM

Is it right to exclude or ban a member for his opinions if they dont transcend the rules of the forum?

Les

Bubba po 26 January 2010 02:11 PM

I think you mean "transgress", Leslie, and he does transgress the rules of the forum, constantly. To whit, trolling.

Thank you so much for your correction, yet another candidate to take over from the SN English teacher! Actually my term could be used in its literal sense but yours is admittedly closer.

Can you explain just what you mean by trolling then? Does that include stating your own opinion even if others don't agree?

Les

The deliberate use of words/phrases/comments that are designed to incite a reaction which can be taken in context as being solely for that purpose.
