SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI GDB EJ20 01> HIGH FLOW FUEL RAIL on eBay (end time 02-Feb-10 10:41:27 GMT)

They do look pretty good IMO, Can you not email the seller and ask what the extra bracket is for?

scoobiewrx555 20 January 2010 09:39 AM

Does that bracket go on the header tank? Looks to be a similar shape to the OEM header tank bracket only a lot thinner.

Worthy of a post across there, I seem to remember some one across thre having the same set

johngoulding 20 January 2010 11:32 PM

thats a mounting bracket , but not for a subaru lol never seen a bracket like that on a scoob but hey its from ebay so what do u expect ? they look good and mostly always do but can they do the damage or actually cause it ?

RA Dunk 20 January 2010 11:46 PM

If it's not for a Subaru then why sell it as part of the Subaru kit? Going by the pictures the fuel rails are a direct bolt fit to the fannimould so I can't see what the bracket can possibly be for :wonder:

johngoulding 20 January 2010 11:56 PM

because the fuel rails WILL work on a scoob but the brackets i believe are not for a scoob probably the boy just picked up the wrong ones or packed them wrong , its only a bracket mate just change them / make ur own ones , its not hard a drill and a bit of stainless and bobs your uncle , it could also be that they are for a different year than the seller stated but i cant see that , sureley they would just bolt into place of the old fuel rails ??? im sure they do bolt onto the inlet manifold on classics but not sure about 01 onwards it could just be the brackets there because of the angle that those particular fuel rails sit at is a bit different as the hole centres seem ok ? bit like these but without the spacers ,
http://www.mrtrally.com.au/shop/imag.../musse128c.jpg
try taking the bracket off and then see if they fit ???

johngoulding 20 January 2010 11:57 PM

the holes in the actual fuel rail are the wron centres but the holes in the bracket look correct ? but i assum the bracket looks in the wrong position ??

johngoulding 21 January 2010 12:00 AM

have u even tried to fit them on yet btw :)

johngoulding 21 January 2010 12:02 AM

the fuel rail brackets come to think of it looking at other cars may be ok but the other bracket i wouldnt worry about until u come to fitting them as u may realise sumthing needs to be moved and more than likely thats what that bracket will be for

The spacing of the holes in the bracket for top load injectors do change. spec C and regular STi are different.

That possbly explains it.
