Urgent help needed,very urgent
Bought a new tv and cant get the Xbox working,Xbox is plugged into AV2 and i can hear the game but no picture, and the red, blue and green leeds are in the component bit, then when i change it(on the tv)to components i can see the game but no sound:(
Any clues? |
Does your TV have a HDMI port ? Thats how mines connected, i know its not the answer you need, try AV 1 just to see if the game comes on.

You have the audio coming in on AV2 and the video coming in on component the two are not connected together. Can the audio out of the x box come out through phono connections to the TV. As previously stated a HDMI cable wouldbe better. Don't have a x-box myself but hav ehadfun setting up my living room audio video.

have a look at the component connections again, is there two sets of stereo input?
(what tv make and model do you have?) |

I would recheck your connections to the TV,they are two red jacks on the Xbox lead and you may have the wrong one plugged in.

Try av 3 or comp?

Sorted, cheers all The red leed that goes into the scart/AV2,needed to go into the audio component,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,why have to red leeds?:wonder: |
Have you made sure the switch on the cable on the Xbox says "HDTV" and not "TV".
You say a new telly, but you didn't say what it was before. If it was a CRT, then it will have been at "TV" (default out of the box) and you need to switch it to "HDTV" for a component connection to a plasma or LCD. Failing that, you say AV2 but mention component, which is it? Geezer P.S. Just get a HDMI cable! |
how can this be classed as urgent help needed you bloody buffoon :)
