T4YLOR 83 19 January 2010 10:02 AM

It was an optional extra on the uk model and the guy who brought it new probably didn't deem it necessery :-)

It's probley not worth the hassle mate, you'll need compressor, all the relevent pipes, belt , condensor, evaperator easier to swap heater boxes!, drier, replacement seals ( good practice), someone to charge it up! May have forgotten something it would be easier to sell your car and buy on with A/C!!

Get a wiring diagram for the relays and you'll want loom and button, you may also want to check what gas is in the system if it's an import?

id strip the type r, and then reverse fit, ul know where everything goes when u remove it. ul know where the looms connect etc, the pipe work and condenser is the easy bit.

Is there a hole in the bulk head for the evaperator pipes?

T4YLOR 83 19 January 2010 03:17 PM

Not sure about a hole but I presume there will be

Both years mentioned use the same oil and gas R134A 550 to 650 grams,
Earlier cars use more gas, left hookers use different oil.
