post 96 map sensor fitment to 95 wrx
 

I'm getting ready to get the car ready to fit a Simtek ecu. As advised i've bought a post 96 Map sensor (off a 99 RB5),so i can spool above 1.2bar, thought it would be straight swap but i need to splice the wires from the new Map sensor to the wiring on the old harness (a 94 wrx). But the thing is there different colours.

New Map wires

Yellow/Black stripe
Black/white stripe
Blue

old Map wires

White
Pink
Green

Anyone any ideas which wire goes to which
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MY92-96 MAP sensor Wiring

Red = +12V
White = Sensor
Green = Gnd

MY97-00 MAP sensor

Looking at connector with pressure pipe facing down

Left = +12v
Center = Signal
Right = Gnd

Pin Numbers Wire colours:

1 = Blue
2 = Yellow-Black
3 = Red

Pin Numbers Wire colours:

1 = Blue
2 = Yellow-Black
3 = Red the third wire on the new Map sensor is black whith white strip not red, it this the same wire ?.

Your existing wiring

Red = +12V
White = Sensor
Green = Gnd

With the New map sensor Connector facing you with pressure pipe facing down, connect as follows, forget about the existing wire colour on your new map connect according to location.

Connect old wiring as follows.

Left = +12v = Red
Center = Signal = White
Right = Gnd = Ground

If you have it wrong, it will throw a cell.
