Im a married man with kids and own my own business same as many of you guys im sure and i would not wish it on any of you, you can just say oh there in prison there murders or what ever everyday people just like you get locked up everyday for one reason or another thanks to blairs britain everyone is a crimal until proven inocent FACT:nono:

Some people don't seem to be able to drive normally on the public roads that we all share. It seems to me that some drivers have been lucky not to kill or injure an innocent party sometime during their obviously chequered career as a driver and that a ban and a prison sentence was overdue. This does not, however, seem to prevent them from bleating about being treated unfairly by the system.

Her majasitys checquers :D

I'm with you SSU!... but unfortunately Labour are in power, so the prisons are lovely and warm and comfortable and full of plasma TV's, DVD players and laptops. The prisioners human rights would be breached if it got a bit chilly while they were kicked back with a beer with their feet up :Whatever_

If you got sent down for motoring offences it had to be serious? Your past must of only just caught up with you? as there is no way you get sent down unless you kill someone on a 1st offence and then people still get off?

dpb 10 January 2010 12:07 AM

I think we should severly restrict temperature to moaning old whingebags ;)

Bubba po 10 January 2010 12:15 AM

No, no, no stevebt. You never get sent down for doing a crime! It's always mistaken identity, or someone unfairly bringing up past instances of being a complete tool that ends up with you going to jail! It's never your fault, FFS! :D

tyler120706 10 January 2010 12:22 AM

as i said previously this is not a first offence but the first in a long time motorists are the my criminal people in the uk and anything the 50 can have you for they will as your a easy target for them believe me when i say motorists days are numbered unless you play for manchester rovers or whom ever have enough cash to get away for going over the ton. no-one is far-enough from there grasp !

Bubba po 10 January 2010 12:26 AM

You can't spend your life driving like a complete bellend and expect people to forget about it just because you never killed anyone yet.

tyler120706 10 January 2010 12:28 AM

very true my point is some people think that everyone in that situation is is there for something serious that just is not the case:nono::nono:

Bubba po 10 January 2010 12:34 AM

It was serious. You were driving in a manner likely to cause the death of an innocent road user. And you wouldn't have gone to jail if it was the first instance of that behaviour, would you?

Aaron1978 10 January 2010 12:35 AM

4 weeks is lucky, imagine how long you would be in there for if you'd have killed someone:nono:

I wouldn't wish prison on anyone either, but it's not supposed to be nice and i'm guessing it's stopped you driving too fast off roundabouts? which is dangerous.

Be thankful it wasn't a charge of 'death by dangerous driving'.

r32 10 January 2010 10:16 AM

Not a very socialist comment from SSU, what about their human rights? Even though they may have transgressed they still deserve treating like human beings. In fact the Government would say they should come near the top of the care list. Just below Cabinet Ministers and MP's but above old age pensioners who have to pay for their care!

Wasn't too wise to leave the roundabout as you did and with your record you really could not expect much else. Would you expect the copper to smile and pat you on the head after an exhibition like that.

Apart from the obvious danger if you had not caught it, it is also alarming for other people and they should not have to put up with that.

Still maybe you have backed off a bit now.

I agree with what you say about the authorities' attitude towards motorists in general but hanging the back end out like that just gives them more of an excuse.

Can't see why they are not sent off in a chain gang breaking up stones all day. Bit of hard labour might focus their minds next time.
