what need for rebuild.
 

hi just wondering if anybody can tell me what else i will need for rebuilding engine from where bottom end went at start of december. Ive already got a new bottom end which is a v5 type r one and the heads currently on car seem ok just bottom end that damaged. I know i will need gaskets but will i need a full gasket kit or just individual gaskets? Is there anything else that i need?

You need to remove ALL the swarf from your heads before building, also replace the modine oil cooler. Don't forget the oil feeds to the turbo.

P.S. You'd be amazed how many people re-use a swarf filled turbo/oil cooler/cylinder head on a re-build. Then wonder why it failed again....
