The end was a bit disappointing you could not make out a person from that height but that is probably just a sample because I heard that a satellite can pin-point something as small as a tin can from space :eek: Osama |

definately - look at shadows in hills and sign - they are all over the place.

It is extremely difficult to get good clear pictures from long distances... Especially from Geostationary satellites between 30,000 and 35,000 km from earth. It is a moving body, and if you have ever used a long zoom lens on your own camera, you know that when you zoom in, the image wobbles / distorts. Same goes here. The technology does however exist, and is very good... That is about all you need to know though :D
