My little Chrimbo pressie to myself...

...and then I woke up from what can only be described as a perfect wet dream.

Stunning, but at the possible £150k asking price I fear I'll just be dreaming for a long while to come....

i dunno, you'd sort of imagine they would keep expensive cars like this under cover :wonder:

ScoobyDoo555 31 December 2009 09:19 AM

JUst read thru the options list. At tad excessive imho.

A lot of money though....

Why do so many Porsche buyers have such horrible taste when it comes to interior colour choice?

Nice bl00dy car though. Sh!t off a stick springs to mind.

ste123 02 January 2010 05:26 PM

thats very nice, bit out of my price range though.

greatgonzo 02 January 2010 06:46 PM

What a car:notworthy every day super car.

malcs scooby 03 January 2010 10:48 PM

very nice

Trout 03 January 2010 11:01 PM

Lovely set up, lovely exterior, gash interior especially that AWFUL steering wheel.

That's German taste for you - mind you it could have been worse - something like a full burgundy leather interior!

It'll be lively, RUFs take no prisoners!

RS Grant 04 January 2010 12:22 AM

I think the interior looks alright, ok I wouldn't choose it and I'd want something completely different for that amount of cash... but I thought it was going to be far worse looking at the comments on here before I opened the link!!

Cheers,
Grant

11.0 quarter mile and 7:35 Nurburgring, for all that cash?

Trout 04 January 2010 03:16 PM

Life is more than just a drag race John ;)

john banks 04 January 2010 04:30 PM

That's why I also put a lap time of a well know German circuit ;)

It seems that for its power to weight ratio that both times are rather disappointing.

You've got a point there, John.
My car's about 0.8 sec. slower to the quarter mile, but then it cost me about £110k less. :smug:

But.... as fishface said, more to it than that and blasting around the 'Ring (as I know you well know)
I think for exclusivity it definitely wins and I'd have it tomorrow - gash interior or not.

Trout 04 January 2010 06:12 PM

I do think that it's figures are a little conservative for 650bhp. Maybe they were taking car of it?

I would have thought the 30-130mph would be very quick. For the money you could do better if not as exclusive as Zippy says :p

Matteeboy 04 January 2010 06:58 PM

From a rather more "modest" perpective, I love the Ruf 911s - very well put together and extremely quick. But that interior looks like the sort of fake grey leather you get in a Kia Magentis. Wrong.

john banks 04 January 2010 08:45 PM

To 60 and 100mph, despite both being AWD, the 997.2 PDK Turbo is similar. I guess the manual gearbox must waste time until you can hang onto a gear. Dual clutch gearboxes seem to be closing gaps of up to 25% power to weight ratio compared to manual cars.

Trout 04 January 2010 11:04 PM

It is possible it is torque limited so as not to break anything off the line. So 0-60 and 0-100 times may be conservative. A 4WD car with 650bhp 'should' be pretty quick.

As for PDK, use the PSD gear change instead ;)

john banks 05 January 2010 06:47 PM

PSD method is associated with gearbox failure.

Trout 05 January 2010 07:06 PM

:D

Tidgy 05 January 2010 07:11 PM

bet that is a reliable 650bhp,,, lol

+Doc+ 06 January 2010 01:41 PM

Surely this was some kind of tax dodge, look at the list and prices of the pointless 'extra's' LOL!
