Are all subaru yellow injectors 440cc
as title, i ask cause i've seen 2nd hand yellow injectors advertised on ebay as V2 440cc. i thought all V1 and V2 imprezas have 380cc?
and i saw a while back a fuel rail advertised with a bosch 3.5 bar fuel pressure regulator fitted insted of the standard one, where can i get one of these from? ive dont a couple of searches and had no succses |
i thought that to 440 yellow i had on my version 4 sti type r my version 2 i think are 380

subaru yellow injectors are phase 2 in relation to the fuel rails v1 and v2 have phase 1 fuel rails and need an adaptor kit to fit phase 2 injectors

yes mate the v2 injectors will fit but as (p555sbr) says u do need a kit, what it is is a sleeve that sits over the end of the injector that makes it fit into the v1 injector rail plus the v2 injectors sit a little higher than the v1 so you will have to put a few washers on the caps that hold the injectors in, they are about £30 ish i think
so they are 440cc apposed to 380cc? basicly i have a V2 wrx and need bigger injectors (aiming for anything over 320bhp) i saw these and thought it odd that they're advitised as V2 and 440cc as i thought all V2s had 380cc?
must be v2 sti mate an if you want to get over the 320bhp you will probly have to change the maf sensor for a z32 maf but make sure when u buy 1 its come with the plug as well coz you will need to change it for yours
yes mate as far as i no i think its just sti's that have 440s
ok, brilliant, thanks pal. is the z32 maf off a sti too?
i'm selling these v1 /v2 440's if your interested , cheers

thats actually got me worried, i always thought all V1 and V2s had 380cc, including STI. so i put a TD05 and STI ecu on my V2 wrx wagon :(
All Pre96 WRX and STi had 380cc injectors
97/98 WRX and UK also had 380 injectors 97/98 STI and 99> Classic all have 440cc injectors. 97/98 STi with Yellow 440's are Phase 1.5 fuel rails that will fit Phase 1 rails. Phase 2 rails injectors from 99> will also fit Phase 1 rails but need £30 adaptors from Carl Davey, Zen or Lateral. |
sorry to jump in on this, but Im trying to work mine out too!
Mine is a UK 98 Classic WRX, which I understand is Phase 1.5 apparently. Im after larger injectors, but dont know if I need top or side feed, and which injector types will fit? All help appreciated. thanks Grant |

All help appreciated. thanks Grant there are some large phase 1/1.5 out there on ebay but tend to be cheap and modified for extra flow. I would never recommend a cheap injector as it's critical to maintain engine life. The only modification for extra flow I would trust would be from lateral. They can modifiy 440's to run approx 800cc, they should be able to do the same for the 380's Lateral Performance Ltd| Home | Subaru Impreza Fuel System | Injector Services | Side Feed Injector Hi Flow Modifying, & Flow Matching. |
