More caster - options?

I have a V4 Sti with Tein SuperStreet coilovers (with top mounts). Currently, I'm considering several options for increasing the caster angle:

1. Whiteline or Perrin anti lift kit;

2. CompBrake fully adjustable top mount - http://www.compbrake.co.uk/TOPMOUNTS_SUBARU.html ;

3. Both;

Which of these solutions is better? Why?

Thanks!

I'd say both. ALK only gives modest increase but improves dynamic changes. Top mount will probably allow up to 1.5 deg more. I've done both on an 03STi more for camber on track rather than castor. Steering feel/weight is improved but the change is modest.

I dont thing the Perrin is a ALK or claims to be, its a uprated bush for better steering response or similar.

Well, they advertise it as an ALK:

Are you Tein top mounts camber adjustable?

If yes, rotate the top mounts 120deg and adjust so that the top of the strut is pushed back as far as you can towards the middle of the car. This will add static camber & dynamic castor!

Whiteline ALK will also help.

dynamic castor :/ your saying the strut is going to move forward/back when steering?!

or do you mean more castor will increase dynamic camber.

Yes, you're correct, more dynamic camber!

Achieved 1.3deg static camber and 4.5deg castor with this setup and a Whiteline ALK.

Yes, my Tein top mounts are adjustable. However, if I rotate them I think I'll loose static camber compared to the CompBrake top mounts which are fairly cheap by the way.

So, what should be the best caster angle setting:
- is Whiteline ALK good enough?
- is CompBrake kit good enough?
- both / or will the caster be too much?

Probably I have to start with ALK and if I'm still not happy try the CompBrake top mounts.

Whiteline UK told me that 6 degrees of castor was optimum for a new age STI and could be achieved with a rotated top mount and ALK.

Yes, Whiteline said 1.3deg camber was optimum and I achieved 1.2deg with the standard bolts.
