gents its probably already been discussed somewhere within the 101 pages on this thread, but ive had a good look and cannot find any confirmation. is it possible to convert a sc non billet unit to a billet unit.

Hi,

It is possible but we are not doing them at the moment as we can only just keep up with the demand for complete new units, sorry.

cheers
Kev

Has there been any other 2.1/GT30 billets done kev ? (apart from the clinic drag car)
Cant remember seeing any graphs and it would be good to compare.

Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry, no other graphs I am afraid as most 2.1 stroked engines tend to go out on the SC36, up to 46 Billets, there are not many who want to go rotated. :)

The 30 & 35 Billets tend to go on 2.33 stroked engines, the reason we went 2.1 on the drag car was due to it being made up of bits thet were laying around as we wanted to prove it could be done on a small budget. :thumb:

Testing the new SC38 BB Billet today and that's not a stammer. :D:D

cheers

Surely, you must have said result close to hand by now! :D What is it?! What is it?! :D

...If the BB & billet 38 makes 380+ on 'Visible-Panties' LOL ;)... but spools like a 36!... then this thing will surely sell like the proverbial! :thumb:

Hi,

that WAS the theory.

Made a bar and that was it, just a bar, something wrong so we had to stop at that point. :(

Customer could not leave his car nor could he get a lift, all our loan cars are out and he cannot get back until Monday. :brickwall

We didn't fit the turbo so need to take a more in depth look, maybe it just doesn't work, although it should work and work well with the spec we put together. :Suspiciou

Will keep you up dated.

cheers
Kev

Simon mapped my 03 sti on syvecs with one of the clinics SC46. All I can say is wow. The car pulls in every gear and will be an outstanding daily driver. Also heads up to anyone thinking of one of these turbos, the sound on gear change alone is worth every penny. :thumb::thumb:

Its making around 420-430 on vpower at 1.6bar. Not had the car dyno'd yet.

My spec

03 STI Type UK
SC46
Syvecs
APS DR725 FMIC
ID 1000's
Maf delete with large cone
3 port boost solenoid
Perrin hard inlet pipe
GT spec headers and Harvey flow matched uppipe
3 bar map sensor

Glad you are happy with it Steve.

Did another sc46 today on a 2.3 non vvt at 1.5bar on 97rom it made 414bhp and 416lb. 99ron would have been happier to run more boost :)

Real shame. :(

Although the smart money is surely on something not being quite right with the set-up(?). Let's hope so anyway. I have faith. Onwards and upwards.... :thumb:

No bother kev, just wondered if i'd missed one, or any !!,or if alan/martyn had mapped on this combination.

Hopefully see on saturday what the car has now all the problems are sorted :thumb::Suspiciou

30 billet feels fooooookin mega on the road btw :norty:
I did consider going bigger just for the "pub numbers", as you know kev,but glad i stuck with the 30 now,as i think i'd miss that hard spool as it comes on boost :D

:D

Not yet, the last 3 we have built have had a stock non Billet 35R, a Billet 35R and a T04Z hybrid.
Have a potential customer coming from Gibralta that we have recommended a Billet 30 too, but we need to wait and see if it's a goer.

Yep, building a new engine for next season and then we will strap the Billet 35R+ on and see what it does.

And yes Martyns T04z result was on race gas.
