WRX Turbo

Hi guys

Looking for some info on the turbo on my classic 99 WRX import.

I want to know for definate what the standard turbo should be, after a bit of research I have contrasting results, either its a VF29 or a TD05.

Can anyone tell me for definate what it should be?

Thanks in advance for any help

Any impreza breakers should be able to help.
May be worth posting a wanted add in the wanted section on here.

Thanks :thumb:

I may pop something up at some point, not desperate at the mo just looking for a roundabout figure for what it will cost, or if a good one pops up at a good price I might buy it.

Thanks again :)

i would say if you do buy a 2nd hand turbo or from somewhere online make sure it's from someone that can be recommend on from here ,there are plenty of scallies selling stuff that is crap, knackered or a cheap copy.

ive heard td series are more reliable than the vf series an can buy turbo kits for them so why would they change the turbo on later models to these. is it because the 90 degree bend or spool up time?
