Remap or not?

:wonder: Help, new to Scoobys...Do I need a remap just for changing to a green panel filter/exhaust swap? Is standard zorst restrictive? Is a remap just a resetting of parameters to ensure smooth engine running without going bang or is it a boost increase? I was told standard flywheels are prone to cracking-if so why? What would be next performance mod on 05 wrx sti after air filter & exhaust change or would remap see 30bhp? Any advice is greatly appreciated. :luxhello:

Panel filter no, decat/exhaust swap probably, if you have an STi

Usually both.

Who told you that?

Is this a Type UK or Japanese spec car? Air filter, exhaust + remap should see you considerably more than 30bhp. Exact number depends on the car and how close to the limit you'd like the mapper to push it.
