eibach springs
just fitted a set of eibach springs to my standard wrx 55 plate. getting a knocking from both sides when i go over bumps. checked them again to make sure they were fitted correct and they look fine. noticed that the standard springs are flat at the top, and the eibach are round all the way up. im thinking that the coil of the springs are knocking against each other. can someone help with this problem. Who fitted them?
|
a good friend who works on scoobys for a living. i helped him as ive done springs myself in the past. i know its not the hardest job in the world, but this is the first ive had issues. hope u have an answer, as its doing ma head in.

Are the lowest couple of turns touching each other at all?
I had a piece of rubber hose put on the bottom so it wasn't metal on metal. Sounds familiar to your noise. |
gonna strip them back out this morning and try putting a rubber hose round them. think this might do the trick. well i hope so. thanks for the advise.

Some specialists fit the hose as a matter of course. Try this as your first port of call.
