Star Trek XI - 7 Terminator Salvation - 4 Angels & Demons - 7 Transformers 2 - 6 World Trade Centre - 7 Haunting in Conneticut - 6 Iron Man - 7 (I like it) Going to watch District 9 tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I'll like it. |
jennifer anniston has made a good film, it was called derailment. About 5 years old, has Clive Owen in it and was excellent.
50 dead men walking, based on a true story during IRA times. 7.5/10 Angels and demons was rubbish. Guessed the twist in the first 15 minutes and the ending was just plain stupid. The International is good 7.5/10 I quite enjoyed Cass, but that might just be because I love films about UK soccer hooligans! |
the funniest film i have seen in ages has got to be the hangover, seriously jaw-achingly funny. also imo the best action film i have seen this last 12 months is Taken, Liam Neeson plays a well connected CIA type dad, and when his daughter gets taken he tracks them down and goes all PROPER badass on them. in fact i think i will dig it out and watch it again this afternoon, cheers for the reminder.

Taken is a great film, loved that!
I rated the new terminator and transformers 2 higher than above, 7 for terminator and 8 for transformers.... but thats just me :) What did you think of district 9? the main character got right on my tits, it could of been such a better film if you ask me!! |
Me and Nat watched Angels & Demons last night and thought it was brilliant. A few twists and the ending was very well thought out.
Would recommend but the DaVinci code was a little better. |
i thought DaVinci code was a lot better tbh. Not slating A+D though.

taken is probably the best film ive seen in a while another very good film similar to that is man on fire. i love you man is quite a good film id say 8/10 |
I watched Burn After Reading the other night.
to be honest it should have been burned after Slough Boring boring - shame for a Cohen film! |
I watched a great classic this morning, - Kickboxer. Proper cheese but brill.
Also just watched State of Play and District 9, it's been a quiet day at work so far. :D |
The new Harry Potter movie is the only decent film i've seen in months, I really enjoyed it although felt slightly let down by the ending.
Transformers2 -1 Terminator Salvation -6 Star Trek -3 Dawesons Creek meets StarTrek didn't work for me at all. DaVinci Code was an epically piss movie made from an overrated book so although I haven't seen Angels and Demons, I'm near enough certain it'll be **** too even though the book was better than the acclaimed DaVinci Code. |

I've never heard you praise anything on here Jamie, so I'll assume your "gangsta" and everything you claim is sheet is indeed terrific.
That or you are a very miserable young man :D Best thing i've seen in ages although not a movie but i'd recommend anyone to watch it is Battlestar Galactica, fantastic start to finish and ended on a high too! |

When did Tom Hanks lose his mojo? he used to be such a good actor with brilliant parts. The last good movie he was in that i can think of was Saving Private Ryan.

I too enjoyed The Hangover, Ive got a mate like the dozy one. Watched Hancock over the weekend, it was on sky, I laughed at that too, but I was on my 5th Peroni Nastro Azzurro at the time. |
ok films i've watched recently:
District 9 very good 8 out of 10 Appleseed good anime made by the people that made ghost in the shell 7 out of 10 Angels and Demons 6 out of 10 Burn after reading 5 out of 10 ( John malkovich only saving grace) A Clockwork Orange 8 out of 10 thats all i can think of at the minute theres not many decent films around now so im starting to buy films i've not seen but should have seen if that makes sense |
No mention of Gran Torino yet? :Suspiciou
Surely the grand daddy of 'what a great Clint Eastwood film'..? :notworthy District 9 has to take second place so far though... |
wife got fast and furious for me today. ok i saw it at the cinema and on pirate dvd (not that i think pirate dvds are a good thing) but it was also good to watch at home with beer in hand and pause button for when i needed beer chrisps or a wizz. not the best film but its almost becomming a mini series id love to see what happens between the end of the last film to the beginning of the 3rd film if you know what i mean
