what injectors fit 95 wrx??
hi there,im looking to fit larger flow injectors to my 95 wrx,it is running the standard (380cc i think?)ones and is producing 311bhp,i am going to be getting it fitted with apexi ecu but am not shooting for huge power,is there a plug in and play injector to suit 350bhp as ive heard of side fed and top fed:wonder: cheers bryan

hi mate you'll be needing some of these Carl Davey, specialist Subaru Impreza parts supply then probably some 550 injectors cause i think the 440s outta the later classic are on max duty about that sort of power, ive not done this myself im just going by what ive read & giving you a rough idea sure a expert will be along soon

311bhp on a standard ecu!!! How did you get that? What intercooler you using?
|
For a 95 car you will need side fed injectors.
|
injectors
hi m8 i have got a set of 440 with a new adaptor kit for sale
|
You need side-feed 550cc ones to flow enough for 350bhp... with decent headroom to spare. 440cc probably could do it, but possibly marginal(?)
There are 2 types of side-feeds: the long pintle "phase 1/1.5" ones which are a direct replacement for your car's fuel rails. Or there're the short pintle "phase 2" ones - these require an adaptor fitting kit readily available for c.£30 form Carl Davy. These, despite being the 'wrong' ones for your year of car, apparently are easier to fit in (in conjunction with those adaptors). |

i bought the motor off a mate, was surprised with the power as it is a standard 95 wrx with large front mount,255 fuel pump ,3" full decat, k&n air filter hard piped behind fog light, ajustable fuel reg, mocal oil cooler.
|
yes mate, its mainly used for trackdays so the front mount is a must, ran a uk turbo on track a couple of years ago with the top mount and its only good for half a dozen laps before you end up with half the power you started with haha
|
A set of OEM yellow STi 440cc inj. (with upped fuel pressure from your adj reg); all the other supp. mods you have; mapped on V-Power + OB, should defo get you in the 340-350 bracket.
You can pick a set of used 440s up for around only £50-60 these days. Check eBay - there're quite a few on there at the moment I think.. |
cheers joz thats excellent:thumb:

Mine
<<<< Un mapped, 380's, 1 bar of boost. Don't try this at home. :D ;) |
What?! :freak3:
Mick, you rinsing the hell out of those 380s to get 330?!!! Unmapped? So you running a MBC or something, too?! You're mad. :lol1: :D |
Micky, how are you at 330bhp on 380's? Have you had it on a RR? Mine is pretty much at the 440's limit at 335bhp.
|
Not had it on rollers recently, and the only changes since then are Fuelab FPR, that I won at SSO last year, and it now has a UK TY754 cased box with my jap diffs.
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i7...rx/RRpower.jpg http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i7...RRboostetc.jpg Running a Z4 Ecu, not had the case off it, but standard I assume as it fuel/boost cuts at just over 1bar of boost. GReddy Profec-B Spec II boost controller. Mit - Mine was at 100% IDC from just over 5K rpm, not sure what they would be now, running 3.4bar IIRC fuel pressure. Had it checked last week for AFR's and Det, AFR's went funky, to the point that they don't exist, 98:1 or something like that on the wideband at full, 1bar, boost. No DET, though, which is good. |
That is impressive, sorry to ask about RR figures, you get a lot of made up figures on here!

I know what it can be like on here and elsewhere. :) |
At least the FPR and Z4, etc. explains things more.
Nice one - you must be chuffed to bits? That's gotta be the cheapest way to 'safely' go from your OEM 240ps to an impressive 330bhp, eh? |

Nor cheap considering the cost of gearboxes - I'm on my 3rd. I've ran it as it is/was for nearly 3 years now, including many a drag race. |
I spose the only thing is proper map would see you a chunk of extra torque.
