Checking under my bonnet today, I noticed what appears to be a screw thread at the end of what I think is the actuator rod.
I presume the actuator is the gold round pod like thing sticking out above the turbo with a rod going downwards and inwards towards the turbo. I have about 8mm of visible thread and then a thin nut. Does this adjust the boost in any way ? Asking because I have heard of others threading the actuator arm to raise the boost by compressing or uncompressing a spring. May be talking rubbish, but would like to know... Thanks, Colin... |
The boost is under closed loop control so all that tightening it would do would increase the peak not held. so not point. I would get your car healthy first judging by your other thread.
