So what were your thoughts on them ?

Rickya, the long adjusters can be included for the price on this group buy, they're normally £8.50 a pair. Just to make it clear though these are inverted monotube all round, so all of the damper adjusters are on the bottom. More awkward in one way but inverted monotube is a superior setup so worth the sacrifice, plus no need to chop up your interior. Depending on the ride height you end up with the long adjusters can make life easier though!

We supplied Steve with the 6/4 setup for fast road/drag use, but bearing in mind the car has 580bhp so may need a stiffer setup to keep things more controlled. Steven has come back reporting that for the car, use & power level it basically needs a stiffer setup, it's comfortable but not stiff enough on the lower damper settings and handles well but too harsh on the stiffer damper levels. What it really needs is the 8/6 setup to stiffen the car up without impacting the ride comfort too much and allow the dampers to run at a sensible range.

Which would be fine... if the headgasket hadn't blown preventing driving the car on 8/6, preventing a proper review!

All I can say is the Impreza setup is the same specifications as the sets we sell for every other market, if anything it's superior due to having inverted shocks all around and front & rear camber adjustment. We get rave reviews from the Nissan & Toyota market, and one of the big dealers we deal with has taken a few sets of Impreza and Evo coilovers now and they keep coming back for more.

We're at enough people now to secure the £600 price, which is ridiculously cheap really for what you're getting. :)

Interesting article: shows SPL coilovers are supplied by KTS Japan & KTS coilovers are manufactured by HSD.

Right I'm back in the office after the bank holiday now, just pointing out that the group buy is now closed!

We ended with 14 members of the group buy, so for all those involved it did reach the 10+ price of £600! I'll be contacting group buy members over the next few days to confirm final payment details, OR you can just order this item online....

Apologies to Ben for this taking so long but you do know about the problem I had.
To the rest of you, here are my findings after the final installation and setting up.
Set in question was/is a GC8 with 6 & 4 spring rates.
First impressions are quality piece of kit, I have fitted and tested many sets of coilovers over the years and these are up there with the top runners for build quality and finish.
Initially I set the damping rate to 4 clicks (F) and 3 clicks (R) but found this way too soft although it would probably be not too bad with the 5 & 4 spring set.
Then I went for 6 and 5 clicks but still too soft but definately better, I have currently settled on 9 and 8 clicks and to my way of thinking this is just about perfect for my needs. I might just try one more click harder on both front and rear and then start mucking about with front and rear balancing but at the moment it is bloody great.
Ride quality is marginally harder (and I do mean marginally) than a standard STi RA but the handling is in a different league again, even when compared to the old coilover set I had on which were way to hard for road use. Interestingly the old set had exactly the same spring rates but the valving was just not for UK roads.
