TD04 Hybrid Power Graphs

Has anyone got a hybrid TD04 power graph for me to see, I have just fitted, one and had it mapped along with 2 other guys, we all have identical figures, 280bhp and 280lbs..
Not sure if we all got sent the rebuilt std TD04's by mistake :wonder:

Thanks
Andy

is this at the wheel power?

What other mods have you done?

I think according to Andy Forrest, it needs a few other supporting bits to make 300.
In the old Scooby mag, the project car had a 3" decat, samco pipe, ported headers and was mapped to 1.3-1.4 bar iirc.

The hybrid unit sounds quite different to the standard unit too. On boost it doesn't whistle, but sounds more like a loud 'blowing', if that makes sense :-)

eek

my td04 made like 280bhp with an induction kit, 2.5 zorst and simply running 18psi

coops78 14 July 2009 05:02 PM

mine is making 286bhp and 308 lbft at 1.45bar. 2.5" exhaust and walbro fuel pump

Was thinking about a hybrid td04 for my next mod

All 3 cars are almost identical, 1 impreza and 2 foresters..
They have 2.5" full decat, walbro, panel filter, 3 port and all are mapped to 1.3 bar, only made 1.2 bar on the rollers.
I have an EVC on mine too which I set to make target boost at 6.5k, it retained 1.2 up to 6k then 1.1 up to redline which I believe is better than a std TD04 :wonder:
I don't think the soft cams of the forester help matters but the impreza was the same..

to be honest without proper supporting mods mapped in your not gonna see the results you want

3 port wont really make a performance difference, your only big mod there is your exhaust. fuel pumps useless unless youve had a remap to up the fueling too. basically all youve done is up up the performance of the turbo with nothing else to match.

That's on a standard TD04.

Mine is standard
maped to 280 bhp and 340ft/lbs thats at level 1
next step would be

Level 1A 290-310 bhp

Add - AFP 04H custom ported hybrid turbo to level 1

I just had a look back at the old Scooby Mag with the Project WRX,
Andy Forrest managed to get 302Bhp and 322 ft lb out of the TD04 hybrid!

Graph taken from my impreza a few years ago, std td04, decat, boost controller, not mapped.
Not a great difference, :wonder:

Hmm, seems a bit low i would have thought, my RB5 made 305/301 some time ago on my standard TD04 with supporting mods (mapped on Haltech ECU, fuel pump, reg, headers, exhaust etc) :)

I would have expected 320+ from a TD04 Hybrid with a map, exhaust etc :Suspiciou

This was my dads bug eye WRX after mapping with a TD04 Hybrid, decat up pipe, downpipe, middle decat, and then a magnex centre section and backbox, and Walboro fuel pump too.
