Doh !
Well i stand corrected. Thought that all had the bag type filter on pick up and the element. Bit of a naff design that one.
|
The filter bag by the pick up is still there on the 06> cars.
There's no room for the fuel filter (& screen wash tank) by the pass. turret as the air pump takes up the space on Hawkeyes. |
Well i am way out of date so will keep trap shut:). Didnt even no had such a thing as air pump ! What does that do then emisions or something:wonder:

I told my subaru dealer my vehicle details, 2006 wrx 2.5, he did,nt require chassis no: and i asked for the parts for a 3rd year service "oil filter, sump washer and fuel filter", he gave me a fuel filter part no:42072aa011, looks like this one; 93- 00 Impreza Classic Jap Made Fuel Filter FreePost UK on eBay, also Engine Tuning Parts, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 09-Jul-09 17:09:52 BST) ,
|
:wonder:
it should be part no. 42072FE030 for 2.5 cars and goes in the fuel tank. That Ebay item is the filter that goes by the passenger turret on pre 06 2.0 litre cars. |

I can't believe a dealership cocked up over this. The walbro sits in extra the same place as the std pump. nick |
Makes me wonder if the oil filter iv'e fited is the correct one now, have to dig the old filter and new box out of the bin and check part no:s, Dos'nt give me much confidense in this particular subaru dealer:(
