Can't open a word doc after saving it.
 

Can anyone help with this ?
When my daughter opens Word, creates a document (even just a one-word doc) then saves it, all OK.
When she comes to open it again, gets this :

The file evaluation is not available.

You may be encoutering this message because an anti-virus program is not allowing the file to open. This can be caused by one of two conditions. Either the anti-virus program needs to be updated (due to a compability problem with this application) or there is a virus in the file but the anti-virus program cannot properly remove or process the virus it has found.

Kaspersky is installed on her PC, and tried disabling that and trying to open the document - but no good.

Its MS Office 2003, Standard Edition on Vista.

has this pc "ever" had norton a/v installed on it???

if so, use a norton removal tool.

Never Norton - but it had the free AVG antivirus for a bit.
