TD05-20G is it worth it with my setup?

Hi guys I'm hoping you may be able to shed some light on this for me please;
I'm considering a td05-20g but would like to know if its worth it with my current setup, I'm running a my05wrx with following mods;

STI TMIC
STI Pinks
walbro fuel pump
panel filter
decat uppipe
prodrive sports cat downpipe
rcm cat back exhaust
vf35

running around 340/340

Would the td05-20g work with the tmic and sti pinks or will I need to change these to get a decent increase? What kind of power increase could I expect?

All advice welcome
Iain

20Gs seem to get varying results. The injectors and TMIC etc would work fine. But you need to worry about if your engine would take that sort of extra power.

mates been running his on a wrx for 12months now,i also run one too .dont be tempted to buy a cheap 20g ,get one from andyf etc etc. i would put some gt spec headers on there too .

i ran my 20g with sti pink and top mount fine its a good all rounder

20g is a 375-400 turbo - I'd swap out your 550 pinks for 650's or 740's if you get one.

when would you get full boost on the 2 litre with the 20g?...
would boost would you run it at on your stock internals?

Cheers guys, I must admit now the beer has worn off I dont think I'm going to go ahead, I came across one of those dodgy ebay bargains last night completely by accident and after a couple of beers it seemed like a good idea :lol1:

While I expect I could push my internals a bit more I'm probably at the safe reliable limit already for everyday use, so what seems like a cheap bargain at the moment may turn very expensive further down the line!

Money is best spent elsewhere at the moment I think :thumb:

An FPR would more than make the fuel system adequate surely?

an fpr would.

i would have thought a 20g on a 2.0 would be dead laggy, looked at one for my 2.1 but was advised only a good turbo for the 2.5 bottom end.

16 or 18g i would have thought for a standard wrx block although think you would do better sticking with the vf35 for a road car and pray the engine holds up. (hence why i now have a 2.1 :p).

340/340 is fairly good.

Probably - and it'd be cheaper.

But I'd be inclined to do it properly with decent fittings, etc. and do the parallel fuel rail job in the process. Then the cost is similar to a new set of 650 or 740 anyway...
