Some engine advice please
I have a UK turbo classic
Andy Forrest mapped ecu Front mount intercooler - just put on friday Boost turned up HKS mushroom filter HKS dumpvalve silicon hoses Samco intercooler hoses with mikalor clamps GREDDY clutch Hope i havent missed anything Just bought a boost controller Air/Fuel ratio gauge My mate said to me about a Fuel pressure regulator - Should i have one of these Any advice would be great on where to go next for more power |
Bigger turbo, and higher flowing injectors will see you well over 300. Check Andy's website for an idea of what can be achieved. I think it was a VF35 turbo he advised me to get if I wanted to take the next step up. I'm sure the injectors only support just over 300bhp IIRC.

Why do you need a boost controler if you have a re-mapped ecu? Surely the boost is controled via the ecu?

Walbro, 440's and a turbo. The VF series works well. I prefer the VF28. It'll see you over 300bhp, spools quick and is as cheap as chips.:thumb:
Should be around the 320/320 mark with that lot, staying with P1's and caning standard STi's. |
A boost controller is an excellent idea on a classic shaped impreza as it will give better acceleration. I have an AVCR fitted on mine

For upping boost, or controling how the car sees it?
|

I dont know to much about Impreza engines etc as i have always had N/A cars so my mate is helping Hoping the boost controller will smooth thinks out I love it :-) What will a fuel pressure regulator do? |
