U2 360 Tour!

Anyone get tickets this morning?

And to those that don't like them / find any reason to slag them off please don't bother posting on this thread :p Thanks :D

Paul3446 20 March 2009 11:25 AM

I didn't, because I don't like them! ;)

davegtt 20 March 2009 11:28 AM

Theyre cr@p and should retire ;)

Paul3446 20 March 2009 11:54 AM

That post would have been valid in 1994! ;)

STi wanna Subaru 20 March 2009 11:58 AM

Bono is a grade A cock.

Matteeboy 20 March 2009 12:00 PM

Mussssst ttrryy and ressiisssstttt...

it's no good.

They were good until the mid 90s, then it all went pear shaped.

Paul3446 20 March 2009 12:40 PM

I think it will be mainly younger people there to be honest, anyone who liked them in the 80s can't stand them now.

SiPie 20 March 2009 01:05 PM

Didn't get tickets

Have to laugh at the posters above .......

Each to their own etc but Q gave the album a 5 star review and I must say it's pretty damned fine.

4 stars from me....

Yes Bono is a complete Bellend, but even that doesn't detract from their latest album being close to top notch

I like them and have done since 1979 so that kind of puts your statement in the dumb bin doesn't it? ;)

Yes got four tickets for Cardiff, still one of the best live bands in the world regardless of what the naysayers say on here. It's trendy to slag them off these days so everyone does. :Whatever_

MattW 20 March 2009 01:18 PM

Though the new one was crap but loved the last two.

Also going to Cardiff, three tickets standing so will be getting there nice and early to get down the front

Also love everything they've done and the are one of the best bands out there to see live.

So to all the detractors (that I told not to post) :p:p:p

I've slagged them off since the early 80's, does that make me a trendsetter...?

SiPie 20 March 2009 01:23 PM

Certainly wouldn't go that far :nono:

That would be the one of us that can't use the quote function properly ;)

Went to get 2 tickets for Croke Park, they offered me 2 tickets less than half way from the back and £150 quid each for the pleasure. I don't think so...they can keep them...whilst I wouldn't mind seeing them again they are not THAT good to warrant it.

I paid £17 to see them at Wembley stadium in 1987 (and stand wherever I liked): and that was too dear! £150, they must be having a laugh?

STi-Frenchie 20 March 2009 08:46 PM

I paid 50p to see them in Dandelion Market in Dublin many years ago. I checked out the Cardiff gig -- same thing £150 a ticket for half decent seats. They really are having a laugh....well they won't be laughing at me :) I dare not think of how many gold teeth we'd have to give up for a t-shirt...and to be honest, although I've liked U2 for a long time there are other acts out there which you can see which are better and for a lot less.

f1_fan 20 March 2009 10:17 PM

Hold on guys before we go too mad. There were tickets available for £30, £55 and £85 as well as the £150. Fact is you were just too late. TBH most sold out on the pre-sale.

And if Streisand can command £500 a ticket U2 is a veritable bargain at £150 anyway ;) :D

STi-Frenchie 20 March 2009 10:35 PM

£30 if you want to stand for 4 or 5 hours to get a good place....maybe. Pre-sale means signing up to U2.com for $50 so who's really getting the best deal? IMHO U2 are ripping the arse out of it.

I won't even dare comment on Streisand! :) Grumpy old git that I am :)
