Rebuild question

Im edging towards a rebuild on my car.

Having never attempted one before i would appreciate any input / tips on doing it.

Im not scared to give it a go and understand fully that if i balls it up, its back to sqaure one, but what better way to see and figure out more about my engine than to give it a go myself.

Cheers in advance

what are my options for a rebuild.. what would you guys do if you had the chance.. Realistically speaking..
Looking for an increase in performance

Seen about 2.5 upgrades somewhere

The sky's the limit with the EJ20/EJ25 engine. You really need to honestly come up with a realistic budget for your means - and stick to it!... Then re-ask your question... :)

Stevie-Sport 28 February 2009 03:12 PM

well my budget is flexible depending on what options i have.

Stevie-Sport 28 February 2009 03:15 PM

actually, probably just stick to the EJ20..

Great. Now hopefully the suggestions will come flooding in!

If impatient, try bending the ears of Paul at Zen and/or David at API...

Also, might glean some useful info from SN's own project car :-

Call me on 01926 614333 0r 522 - it is not as simple as it sounds to do yours for better / bigger power, as the hydraulic lifter heads you have are not ideal.

I can talk you through your options without any obligation on you.

Good Luck, no matter what David APi
