Sexist road safety leaflet

'Sexist' road safety leaflet axed
Last Updated: Friday, 20 February 2009, 03:01 GMT- Search: Sexist road safety campaign

A hard-hitting safety leaflet warning male motorists that bad driving could ruin the looks of their car - and their girlfriend - has been dropped after complaints it was 'sexist'.
The pamphlets were launched in the run up to Valentine's Day as part of a campaign in Somerset - but withdrawn on the final day amid claims they demeaned women.

The cards show a young blonde woman in a short skirt on a car beside the headline "Last Valentine's Day my girlfriend agreed to model with my car. They looked fantastic together"
I just wondered if anyone has a picture of this leaflet :wonder: I am a tad curious for what actually looked like (not interested in lookalike pics, if you please:D), and Google refuses to be my mate on this issue. Just wondering if we have some peeps here from Somerset area, they may have a copy to scan.

Thanks in advance to anyone who could help.

There's a shocker. People upset by safety leaflet because its designed to upset them!

Honestly, where do these people find time to do the rest of the lives. :cuckoo:

Aye.

But when things get axed or banned, I am suddenly interested in them. Prior to that, I wouldn't have given a ****! Human nature rocks :lol1:
