Sexist road safety leaflet
'Sexist' road safety leaflet axed Last Updated: Friday, 20 February 2009, 03:01 GMT- Search: Sexist road safety campaign A hard-hitting safety leaflet warning male motorists that bad driving could ruin the looks of their car - and their girlfriend - has been dropped after complaints it was 'sexist'. The pamphlets were launched in the run up to Valentine's Day as part of a campaign in Somerset - but withdrawn on the final day amid claims they demeaned women. The cards show a young blonde woman in a short skirt on a car beside the headline "Last Valentine's Day my girlfriend agreed to model with my car. They looked fantastic together" Thanks in advance to anyone who could help. |
There's a shocker. People upset by safety leaflet because its designed to upset them!
Honestly, where do these people find time to do the rest of the lives. :cuckoo: |
Aye.
But when things get axed or banned, I am suddenly interested in them. Prior to that, I wouldn't have given a ****! Human nature rocks :lol1: |
