Taken (film)

Watched this last night - what a superb film, loved the action, even more hard core and realistic looking that the Bourne films. Highly recommended.

Being careful not to give stuff away, but it was when he was talking to his daughter before she was taken, that's when you could tell this film was going to be different.

Best film I have seen in years.

Liam Neeson is perfect for the part. Menacing in a nice, polite sort of way :D

davegtt 18 February 2009 09:16 AM

Good film but IMO SH!T acting, was painful to watch the acting in it.

SPG 18 February 2009 09:47 AM

Awesome film! really enjoyed it, i'd reccommend it to anyone, I was totally engrossed! Loved the plot and Liam Neeson was brilliant, I really want to talk about it some more but don't want to spoil it for anyone who has'nt seen it! :)

Plot?

Where was that?

I thought it was a great film, though a bit sobering to think the subject material really does happen in the world today. :(

GC8WRX 18 February 2009 11:23 AM

Awesome film, and its on isohunt if anyone fancies watching it!

Jamescsti 18 February 2009 11:29 AM

RJM25R 18 February 2009 06:38 PM

Mint film, escapism at its best but realistic? Come on!

Sonic' 18 February 2009 06:56 PM

I enjoyed it, but agree with RJM definately not realistic :lol1:

JonMc 18 February 2009 06:58 PM

Based upon the trailers I'd seen I was expecting a film similar to Ransom with Mel Gibson in, but this was so much better. Really enjoyed it, and TBH I don't watch films like this for their realism!!

ScoobyDriverWannabe 18 February 2009 07:24 PM

started off a bit slow but once it kicked off was amazing

His voice was made for that phone call, dont think any other actor could have pulled it off.

:D :lol1: Fair enough.

I did enjoy the fighting more than the usual rubbish of round house kicks and all that crap (did 4 years of 3 times a week training in ninjitsu at Uni - but old and creaky now :freak3: )

Great film, got an 8.7 in imdb ratings, that's above the wrestler and benjamin button.

Agreed top film i'll probably end up buying the br version.

His daughter looked genuinely distraught at the end.

Juice 18 February 2009 09:25 PM

great film & i actually bothered going to see it in the cinema

SlimJ_2005 18 February 2009 09:54 PM

Watched this the other night with the sound nice and high!

Not a bad film but some of the acting was a bit cringe worthy. Not a patch on the Bourne films IMO though.

Who was driving the boat?? ;)
