TD04 L Whats it good for?
 

As title really, what is the maximum power you can expect from one?

280bhp but i do think some peopl eon here are runnning or have run more.

u would be extremely lucky to fetch that sort of power,mine would only fetch 238bhp!obviously depends on condition of turbo,think most people getting around 250 ish.:thumb:

Quite low that though, the 99-00 car with PPP is quoted as 240BHP with 16psi boost and fairly conservative modifications. I ditched my TD04 for something bigger but 280 max was the figure near enough all tuners gave me on the TD04. 'max' being the operative word I should think, and 260-70 more realistic.

mine was maxed out at 280'ish @ 20psi

So what turbo should be fitted to a MY97 WRX? Mine has a TD04 L but the standard car is rated at 280 ps. I hope it hasn't been swapped by a previous owner!

Andy fg mapped mine to 286, he said could have got a bit more out of it if i had a decat uppipe on car. ;)

Mmmmmm yours should have a VF22 (if it's a saloon) a WRX wagon has the td04

It is a saloon yes, I think I need to do some digging.

Think the 97 WRX should have TD05? Think the VF is on the STi?
