hay you guys!! just trying to fit two new pistons to the scoob, ive removed the inspection hole and cir-clip just cant get the bloody pin out..:wonder: any one got any little tips? i dont really wanna strip the sump and pull the rods to just change the pistons. any help would be great!! :) mitch |
Easiest way is to remove all 4 gudgeon pin access bungs, two 14mm's at the front on No.1 and 2 cylinders and two at the rear of the engine - one 14mm behind the oil seperator/breather plate on No.3 cylinder and the oval shaped plate on No.4 cylinder.
Use a long thin rod to knock the front two gudgeon pins out going from the rear and vice versa to do the rear gudgeon pins from the front. ps - you wont get to all the rod caps from in the sump. Mick |
A hot air gun on the top of the piston works a treat.
