AlanPPP 09 January 2009 09:05 PM

A bit random i know but my wife just roll's her eyes when i mention cars and i know you guys will understand! lol

Jamz3k 09 January 2009 09:44 PM

feel for you mate:( looks like a lovely wee car though, my only problem with it is thats its a clio:lol1:

powerwrx 09 January 2009 09:44 PM

very nice clio mate, sorry to hear you miss the scoob...i knew i would too if ide have sold mine...why dont you chuck the clio in for another classic

richie001 09 January 2009 09:55 PM

I know what you mean back in May px'ed my 05 STi for a M3.Its was great for couple of weeks but every time a saw a Impreza or my brother came around with his i wished i hadn't.So back in October i sold the M3 and bought another MY05 STi.

TonyBurns 09 January 2009 09:55 PM

I missed not having a scoob for 20 months, so went out and bought another one :D but i dont blame you, i really did miss mine alot :(

Tony:)

Iam thinking about doing the same as yourself.....Thanks to the credit crunch it makes you look very closely at your money and also the scooby parked on the drive!!!!

There`s very few cars on the market that have as many great features as the impreza and once you sell ya pride and joy.....Thats when the regret sets in......I dont want that!!!!!!

Matt78 09 January 2009 10:17 PM

Mate! I did exactly the same in july. Sold my scoob, got a renaultsport clio 172.... which I sold 4 weeks ago to get another scoob!!

RBGUS 09 January 2009 10:42 PM

I know how you feel Alan,i sold my scoob at the end of november and i really
miss it:cry:
So ive decided im gona import one myself, sti ra or a type r:D
and i wont be in a rush to sell this one (lesson learned):thumb:

Sell the clio!!!

Gus

unfortunately, when you sell your car and downgrade power-wise you will always regret it, its happened to me lots in the past. It seems like a good idea at the time but as soon as you see someone else in their scooby it makes you want another one.
I sold mine 9 days ago and to be honest im not really missing it yet, although this could be due to the fact my brother has'nt been round in his since and there's a shiny audi s4 sat on the drive instead.:thumb:

You might just get away with it with an S4 mate, it's not really a down-grade is it? Apart from the scooby burble....

deano555 10 January 2009 09:49 AM

I've not posted for a while, but my scooby went in March, I miss my scooby and so does the missus. We got a new lancer gs4 D, its a great car miles better comfort and a decent stereo lol !! its amazing on fuel and miles cheaper to run. BUT IT AIN'T A SCOOBY !! If it was all wheel drive it minght make me slighly less envious of scoobies.

theres nothing worst than going from an impreza to another car, its what has taken me back to imprezas so many times in the past.

mind you im not so sure oxscooby will be regretting his move anytime soon :) :thumb:

I considered getting one of those before I bought the Scoob, what's the running costs like?

Potiriadis 10 January 2009 12:29 PM

I chopped my bugeye in for the new 08 STi. The new one is faster, more comfortable and a better family car. God I miss the blue paint, gold wheels, my friends telling me I should grow up etc... I also miss the back to basics feel.

Best thing though is renting a car on holiday, they are all so unremittingly awful that no matter what you have back home it is good to get back.

dunx 10 January 2009 12:40 PM

But is the Renau any good ?

A couple near me but they still eye-ball my bug-eye in that strange way :luxhello:

I had a laugh last night, trashed a "bouy" in a Golf GTI without going over 4000 rpm. :nono:

You'll be back, if you don't lose too much on your lasses shopping trolley :thumb:

Sorry !

My clio 172 was quicker than I thought, revved like a bugger, but not much torque. Was great on fuel though, for a quick-ish car.

M444GY 10 January 2009 09:55 PM

i sold mine a few years back and got a bmw and regretted every minuite of it , thats why i am back in a scoob lol

scoobynutta555 10 January 2009 10:11 PM

Not regretting my sale yet, nearly 2 months ago. I'm driving around in a 12 year old swb pajero 2.8, not even remotely sporty!

AlanPPP 11 January 2009 11:47 AM

Well the clio will be going soon! Just put a full set of Conti Contact 2's on her so it's ready.

Running costs are really good..get 300+ miles to a tank around town and more like 370 on a run..Insurance went from £1K a year to £400..tax is the same though.Like most performance cars though bits aren't cheap and with it being french they are needed more than usual! lol

Anyone wanna swap there scooby for it?? Worth about 5K.
