What power can I expect

Hi all. Just about finished my little project and wondered what sort of power to expect. I have a V3 STI RA with the following mods:

ARP head bolts
Gas flowed head
Tubular headers
3 1/2" turbo back exhaust
20g turbo
440 injectors
Walbro pump
ram air filter
Fully de-cat
New rebuilt group n gearbox

A friend is going to custom burn a chip for it as still have the standard ECU which already has a chip in it but no good for these mods and cant afford a PFC at the mo:cry:

Any advice or comments appreciated…

wait till you can afford the remap simple as

the 440's are way too small for the 20g as well, tbh i'd wait and get some 550's and a propermap before running it

It will be a proper remap mate, tweeny-Rob "formally from perfect touch" is going to map it for me. I just want to know what sort of power to expect and if I should get any other little bits before going to the expence of a remap???

440's are too small for the 20g turbo you need at least 550's so your gonna be limited by those injectors and if you don't have an adjustable fuel reg I doubt you will get past 340bhp ???

So bigger injectors and a FPR then ?

coops1 14 December 2008 07:23 PM

What about power then, what to expect? What are standard internals in the block good for as well?

samcowrx 14 December 2008 08:37 PM

Definately 550's and a fpr and a proper remap like JGM or Bob R mate to see good power out of the 20g, you might be looking at 350-380 bhp then?

stevebt 14 December 2008 08:46 PM

tweenie rob will do a proper map ;)

coops1 14 December 2008 08:58 PM

Thanks stevebt, I know. He is the only man in my eyes lol

scoobzie 14 December 2008 09:08 PM

you should see about 380 bhp with 370 torque m8 if you fit the 550,s and fpr
maybe alittle more of either your block will take 400 ish anymoe and you looking at gearboxes:thumb:

yeah, sorry mate, that probably came out a bit wrong?, i am sure tweenie rob is as capable as the two mappers i listed, sorry if it sounded like a knock.

My car is running a Af20G, with an Aeromotive FPR, 555cc injectors, all supporting mods and is runnind circa 380bhp with 370 ftlb's:norty:

I didn't take it that way at all mate so dont worry about it ;)

You've not mentioned the i/c you'll be using.This could make a difference if it's a factory tmic.

FMIC mate. Think it is a hks one but not sure..

Assuming its a proper 20G from the likes of Andy F you should be good for 380ish :norty:

Mine made 387BHP on an Andy F 20G with supporting mods. :)
