The truth is if the immigration service was working anywhere near efficiently this wouldnt even be an isssue - most genuine migrants are NOT going to hang around on the dole because there just isnt enough money in it .

The truth is that there are worthwhile and worthless migrants. Unfortunately its the worthless migrants who're getting the easy ride from this shower of b*stards. Genuine and worthwhile migrants are a far easier target for displays of strength, but the wasters are treated differently. The sooner that this massive difference in types of migrants is acknowledged the sooner a solution can be sought. Currently of course, theyre all bundled in together to suit socialist spin.

the whole set up by the government is wrong, even if this immigrants get jobs, lets say a couple with 3 kids husband,wife and three kids. the most they would earn is about 2000 per month combined income and thats if they are realy lucky.
based in london 1200 rent for three bed house in london pcm
200 council tax
50 pounds electric
50 pounds gas
250 food shopping
100 transport
150 kids stuff
forget tv license and phone bills and everything we take for granted.
so if you try to incourage them to work it wont be worth there while.
living cost is way too high it just doesnt cover it.

i know some of you might think 1250 pcm for a house is a lot. thats what a colombian family thought and ended up moving to newcastle and they ended up been victimised with there car windows smashed bricks throught the windows of there house. so its a struggle people its good to look at it from both sides.

i use to have a similar mentality i used to pay 600pounds in taxes plus N.I plus house bills and council tax before the credit crunch.

and i thought to myself when was the last time i used the public services??? but all of in here no matter who you are you have a friend,uncle,brother,sister x girlfriend, or some one that you know is claiming from the government or has had an operation which was funded by the NHS or once had been burgled and called the police or your kids go to government school. so it kind of evens it self out.

and in regards to this immigrants had we left there countries alone in the first place they wouldnt be here, and whoever complains about immigrants taking our jobs is silly because we have more of an advantage we speak read and write. they only thing they have over is us i the hunger to survive.

p.s by the way i know there is immigrants out there abusing the system but thats down to the government o deal with, where ever you go in the world there no such a thing as perfect people.

Chavs were always our problem and there will always be some element like chavs, but to take on more from other countries makes things worse.

You are right in terms of there are always people who will abuse the system, and that is what needs tweeked somehow to make it either more difficult or less appealing.

I personally don't gaf, who comes to this country providing they work and pay their way. If they are contributing to society then I have no problem. I almost even have time for those, British or not who will fiddle a little to get by, as if it comes to that to live, it says to me again the system needs looked at.

What I can't stand is anyone who won't work, whatever their excuse as they think the world owes them something. I don't discriminate depending on their background. I know people and have kown people who do exactly that, and nothing annoys me more when I think I work in a **** job, to pay my way, and don't get me wrong I've made my own mistakes, but I carry on until I can make my life better, I don't expect others to do it for me.

I have known quite a lot of immigrants (most of whom were on the wrong side of being legal at the time) and they all worked extremely hard doing things that needed to be done: Waitressing / cleaning etc. I am even married to a delightful Polish girl.

However, I never understood why immigrants are entitled to housing at all or things such as child benefit. There should be some criteria, working for x number of years, applying for citizenship, just something rather than getting benefits without contributing.

there is over 90k scoobynetters i would say more than 70% are tax payers we are been taxed to death, add the VAT on that .45% of you earnings go to tax and VAT one way or another, the government needs to concentrate on uk not other parts of the world, we are going through this never ending credit crunch thats screwed up most of our lives left some of us homless. while this government is too busy fighting wars that dont benfit any of us here its actuley done the opposite.

in order for this econmy to improve the government need to tighten up things on benfit fraud stop the war build more schools hospitals,shopping centers more policing i mean in a country that you pay tax you cant walk the street at certain times.

over 100million has been spent on these wars how many schools or hospitals they could of built and then hardly anyone would be jobless or wouldnt have an excuse to be jobless. and then they wonder why kids in certain parts in the country under achieve.
shutting the door in immigration is a start but there other factors you got to take in to account.

I personally, have a bit of history. My family is Polish, my grandparents came over to Great Britain because of the war, but when they were accepted into the British society, they worked hard and followed the rules :thumb:

My dad also came over to England from Ploand, but when he was younger, and not to seek assylum, but to study for his university degree in metalurgy. He then went back to Poland, graduated, and got a job in England with his degree :thumb:

I myself am also an immigrant, in Japan. I studied hard to graduate from university, and am working hard to be able to stay here. I am also studying Japanese very hard, and some could say that I am nearly fluent, if not fluent already :D

just thought id give people a taster of what its like :)
