Thieves!!

needed a new gearbox for my Toyota Corolla. These guys told me they had one, paid by Credit Card last week (thank god), no gearbox has arrived. Called them to cancel and awaiting refund but judging by this forum it's no going to turn up.

Wish I checked here first! Won't answer or return my calls. TWATS!

Might get the heavies down there.

simply call your CCard company and report it, no hassle, no heavies, no payments made..........

Read this thread too late.................

I had the misfortune to stumble upon these people via the Breakerlink website and can echo all the problems people have had with them, I even sent then a photo of the part I wanted and still heard nothing. They seem to take money for parts they don't actually have and make promises they dont keep. After several wasted calls, I went to the bank and to Trading Standards to try and get my money back. I hope peple research this site before spending anything and I hope the word spreads to other Japanese car enthusiasts.

I don't purchase any spares from scrap yards via 247parts. I had a similar incident where I need a fuel pipe as mine was rusted through

A company come back saying he had one on the shelf in mint condition etc.. A week later the one that arrived was almost worse then what I took off the car.

It would have cost more to go through the courts then I had paid and in the end lost out on £140..
Sorry to scrappies out there but from now on I only buy what I can see / try first

Just for info. These cowboys regularly change there name..

I got scammed on a 'fully reconditioned' engine with 3 months warranty... after 2 days my water temp was sky high and when checking there was no coolant in the engine. I had checked this before I left and it was full.

I then assumed as this was the original problem it could be something else, so I ended up changing the radiator, the problem reoccurred.

I took it back after only 5 days and they said the head gasket wasn't covered under the warranty because ' youz wuz probs raggin it mate innit' he said I will hook it up to our computer and if you have been driving it hard we wont cover it, I agreed as I knew I hadn't drove it hard. he quickly backed away and said the machine was broke... all in all, I ended up stripping the engine myself and reconditioning it, not ideal as I had to hire a car and ended up ££££ out of pocket.

Trading standards informed etc, they just kept playing the 'raggin it innit' card...
They didn't answer the phone and when we went round they were all of praying so couldn't deal with me for several hours, even though three guys behind a wall were laughing in the background (probs at us for using them)

They were called Midland jap parts at the time about 2 years ago, here is a link to a website for more info with even more angry customers.

Thanks
