Changing the Timing Belt!DYCO???which belt?
Hi guys, i am thinking to change the Timing belt on my wrx import, i have been quoted £115 supplied and fitted, the belt is a DYCO one, is this a good belt??
is £115 a good price including Labour? does any one know where is the best place to change my belt (proffesionals) in Birmingham area or near? please give me some advice cheers |
Make sure someone that knows scooby's does it or it will be a quick way to destroy your engine
|
ye the guys who does is for £115 only does jap import cars specially subarus, so i am not worried about the fitting,
|
That price is cheap . i don't know that make but if he is willing to fit it should be ok
|
That is a good price :-)
Bear in mind, that you may need to change the tensioners and/or pulleys:wonder: |
Dayco belts are good and have the timing marks on them also - as phil84 said,it may need some of the idlers replacing and possibly the tensioner if leaking.

Is your import heavily modified?
|
no its not heavily modified, running at 1 bar, safe boost, hks air filter, fully decated 5inch exhaust, that's about it really :P
ye i thought 115 fitted and supplied is quite cheap, well i will tell him to check the tensioners for me too in case if they need changing :D |
