New car tax bands??????????

Does anyone know if vehicle licensing have published a list of prices for the new car tax rip off being introduced? Not just for brand new vehicles but a list of every model since march2001?
Reason being that ive currently got a 2000 model Ford Ranger which i understand wont be subject to emmisions-related tax but, am thinking of getting maybe a 2004 model that probably got high emmisions and so dont want to be paying say £400 a year!
Anyone in the know about this??

You don't need a model list. Google the CO2 rating and see what band it lands on in the table.

There was some talk of it all being abandoned, but it doesn't look like it will be as it's gone strangely silent?

Ford Ranger?!?

I wouldn't buy one of those if I were you. There is one advertised 'trade' in the local rag, forget what what year but quite new - 7/8K or so. It has been there for several weeks now, clearly nobody wants to know. :(

Need to swap our car for an older more polluting pre 2001 car to avoid the intelligently thought out 'Save The Planet Burn The Car ' Tax.I'm thinking old Range Rover

Think this will be NL's Poll Tax moment

This is the one I used Road tax - Parker's

Mine is currently band D and will move to a band H and by 2010 will be an extra £35 for 12 months tax.

Hmm, the parkers site gives me a different banding to the government site.

Bend over Scooby owners:

However classic owners are laughing as the worst it will be is £200.

Road pricing will be an even bigger killer I think.
