Spark Plug Gaps ????
Hi Guys and Gals
I have a MY93 WRX and want to change spark plugs and want to know if any of you know the gap settings ??? Thanks |
I think it's 0.6mm to 0.7mm depending on boost. Someone will be along to clarify, I'm sure...

Am running 1.3 bar if that helps
|
I'd guess 0.6mm
|
0.6mm PFR7B at that boost level.
0.7mm and expect a slight hesitation on boost |
Be careful with PFR7B's i had nightmare misfire issues with those when they were gapped at .6 .65 or .7 turned out later i was not alone on this. Apprently PFR7G's are far better??? Subaru sell PFR6B's off the shelf but can order the 7's if needed. In the end i put my NGK Iridiums back in :) misfire = gone
running .7 gap with 1.4 BAR @d |

running .7 gap with 1.4 BAR @d Yup, I agree... Run a set of PFR7G-11 & gap them to 0.7mm & they will be fine. Phil |
PFR7B Gapped @ .6mm no problems @ 1.4bar

Yip I hear your facts but I only had access to PFR7B's prior to my map. Gapped to 0.6mm and not had a problem on boost. Purely stating my evidence....
