engine bay..
Any tips on cleaning the engine and bay,it's looking pretty grimey.
I know it's not reccomended to jet wash so what can I do...thanks... |
Cover alternator, intercooler, alarm and obvious electics. Soak in your choice of cleaner...Gunk, Daisy etc. Allow to penetrate the grime, agitate with a brush. Rinse with a low pressure hose. Repeat as necessary. Allow engine to idle for 10 mins, bonnet down. Apply rubber / vinyl dressing. Go for a drive.
Lift bonnet, admire and savour. Drop bonnet and relax:thumb: |
:luxhello: Just what I needed to hear..soon to be sorted,thanks....:thumb:

If its really bad Gunk will do the trick. Agitate stubborn dirt with a brush then pressure wash at a low setting. Done mine over 2 years ago and have had no problems at all. I left to dry with the engine running then once cooled sprayed the whole engine bay with Swissvax Motor Shine which seals everything and disperses any moisture left. Only needs a quick wipe down now. :thumb:

Where might one purchase swissvax motor shine...cheers.
