Crankshaft position sensor 'A'.........

Evening all,

I was on my way home from work on Friday when my engine management light came on,
so within 15 mins i had it on diagnostics, which flagged up one fault. Crankshaft position sensor 'A'. Ive done a search but this only specifies the problem on classics. How easy is this problem to sort & is it a job any mechanic can do? Can i please have a step by step if possible & where can i buy a Crankshaft position sensor 'A' from?

cheers all

Marc .

I dont think thats the one mate....try to the right hand side of the alternator...Its got a brown head on it with a grey plug... look in between the belts...should find it there!
