I pulled the gt30 off and fitted a gt35 and got it mapped low to keep my engine and clutch safe as its only a single plate clutch and the rods are only good for 500bhp :( I told pat to keep it at 1.5bar but I didnt expect 1.5bar to only be 450bhp :) I will sort it properly this year and get the gt35 mapped to its full glory ;) It was me that came up to speak to you when your car was parked near the handling when your friend said he was you !! I was in black with some stupid shorts on :D:D

ex-webby 27 May 2008 08:22 PM

Hi Steve,
Did you not say who you were?!?! I didn't realise it was you mate. TBH I had so many people say hello, to stop and chat and I never knew many as they didn't say who they were! :D :D

If I had known (perhaps you did say who you where, as I was in a world of my own that day), I would of had a good chat with you! :)

At least I can put a name to a face now. :D

The "friend" was actually Simon (the other Webmaster!). :D

Regards,
Shaun

Since you are aware of what Richard said about my engine compared to the conversion you run..... I best throw you the keys to my car at a future 1/4m event! :D :D Good time mate for the power you are running! :) Saying that, based on what Richard got in the Tracktive car (with a bit more power than me, with his race fuel map), I could throw my car keys at him as well! :D :D

I actually asked him to have a go in my car when we were doing set-up and testing at Dono..... he refused, as he said his launches were not as good as mine. He didn't seem to have a problem on Sunday with 11.3's on a set-up that is far from finished! :D

Richard did do very well on the 1/4 this year to say his car wasn't finished in time, i did the 11.8sec with a poor 1.81sec 60ft time aswell so can go a touch faster yet, i would think your car could do a sub 11.5 no problem with some fast gear changes;)

I am sure that andrew mercer was driving the tractive car on the quarter,,
His car on race should.will do better,,
It did a 1.6 60ft,,
My car did a 1.9 60ft and got 11.7@120mph at shakey in 9c temps
My car is 500bhp on pump fuel and weighs in at 1400kg,
i would expect a 1.7 60ft time in good weather.
So i am hoping for an 11.4

Car number 19 clutch went on first 1/4 run when changing from 3rd to 4th but got a 12.07 and a 1.7 60ft i think,Got 4th overall on handling circuit did a low 41 sec but clutch had virtually no drive in 3rd and over excitement in getting into semi final and nerves led to school boy overshoot.
Car is 2ltr md321t apexi pfc, jollygreenmonster remap fmic 740s and other bits, dont no bhp figure.

flat4 27 May 2008 10:47 PM

Nope, same car hence the 56/60 car number :)
