Because of the varying views on power increase with the new PPP i have decided to organise ( if enough takers ) a MY01 rolling road day at PE.
Main reason is to see if there really is a difference between PPP only cars but would also be interesting to see figures for other MY01 cars with different mods.
Date is Saturday March 2nd at Power Engineering in Uxbridge, cost will be £45 + vat, if we get 30+ cars, cost will come down to £30 - £35 + vat.

DrEvil 29 January 2002 03:47 PM

Might be up for it :D

Steve vRS 29 January 2002 03:48 PM

I'm interested. It will be my un-modded car (apart from Scoobysport backbox). Where in the country is Uxbridge as I'll be travelling from Cumbria.

MATTeL 29 January 2002 05:17 PM

I would be interested especially as I am changing the exhaust.

Currently I have:
MY01
PPP
ITG panel filter

It also has been done before so I already have a benchmark figure.

EvilBevel 29 January 2002 05:36 PM

Small question ... do the dealers "drill" their own holes in the restrictor (orifice, as they are officially called), or do they get them pre-drilled from Prodrive ?

It might explain some differences in the mid range torque ...

Theo

simes 29 January 2002 05:37 PM

Very interested!

Cheers

GavinP 29 January 2002 05:51 PM

I might be up for this.

PPP + ITG

Already run twice at PE, with and without PPP so be interested if the ITG has made any difference.

Psycho Smart 29 January 2002 06:37 PM

I will be there to watch if my car has had the remap removed (only for a bit) but if the new one with turbo is on i am on the rolling road with the only dynoed smart car in the UK.

PSI3 29 January 2002 06:45 PM

Matt, i'm sure no-ones going to complain if the odd "Classic" shape comes along.
