Mass air flow meter chip ?

hi guys, i think my maf sensor is on its way out, i have seen this chip on ebay, will it do the job or is it another "wonder mod"

Subaru isn't mentioned in the advert.

'Your car will accelerate faster and have a higher top end speed...This is a great easy to fit mod for any car, and will definitely increase your cars power and decrease your 1/4-mile times.'

I hate it when people say this as this is just ,imo, a load of bollocks

thank you mate, do you know anybody with a spare maf knocking around. my car is quite lumpy now and the coil pack look fine.

Thanks David

it's 'bull'
it will be a resistor (probably less the 0.01p) in a box that connects to the MAF signal wire.
It is designed (if thats the right word) to fool the ECU and make the car run leaner.

Very cheap, very dangerous.

Speak to Triton at Hurn Airport as they normally keep a new one to sort problems like this.
When i had a bad idle problem they lent 1 to me and it sorted it out.

Have you tried cleaning the Maf?

alegedly brake or carb cleaner works (never done it myself tbh) sprayed onto the sensor BUT don't put the maf back straight away, let the cleaner evaporate so the sensor is dry.

This may only be a temporary measure though.
