warning gas and air may be required for some readers...gear changer thingy in, just need to torque everything up but i want some longer bolts for the wishbones. The Whiteline H brace is quite thick so I want to slap some loner fittings in.

LSD in...managed this on my own with the most ingenious multi jack set up, cussed it at the time but very rewarding :) Steve Ds diff mount, the eagles eyed will notice I still need to drill a hole :D

I even gave it a quick wash and it's back in the garage for the first time in nine months

Got to change the lower ball joints on the Clio after an advisory note on its MOT and then I'll slap the driveshaft and 'zorst in this weekend...gotta make a list of the small jobs before sticking the engine in the hole...:wonder:

Serious question does the wagon feel any less planted than the saloon?

Never noticed any difference and I've driven quite a few of both sorts at various levels of tune. I think you would have to be right on bleeding edge (and be a highly skilled peddler), to feel the difference..speak to Steve D as he has driven both variants with huge amounts of power.

wagons are waaaaay cooler so just go buy one big boy :thumb:

hardly likely as the basic chassis and floorpan are shared anyhows with basically only the rear section of upper bodywork specific to each :)

the wagons do run slightly softer set-up as std normally in terms of rollbars and such but nothing "normal" mods wouldn't assist

BLU 04 December 2013 03:59 PM

Is the engine in yet?? :Suspiciou

Don't be daft, Trev.

He's probably still making his breakfast. :D

trails 09 December 2013 02:35 PM

The weekend just gone was as unsuccessful as the weekend before was successful; took over an hour to remove each pinch bolt and the I managed to pop a drive-shaft off the 182 and empty the 'box oil trying to remove the lower ball joint because it was rusted in place...got woke up last night by cats fighting under the car. One of mine comes in looking like a seagull from an oil slick so I've just had to pay for a blood test and general anaesthetic to get her cleaned up.

So, no Trev Micky was right...it's not in yet :(

Tyler 1 09 December 2013 04:36 PM

Ow sugar, hope the pussy is ok..

My cats normally sit ontop of my car as it has a cover over it and they claw the F out of it

mickywrx 09 December 2013 06:58 PM

:(

trails 10 December 2013 09:25 AM

she is fine ta...pretty pi55ed about the whole experience...in fact the only real harm that seems to have been done is to my wallet; £120 lighter for a bit of a wash :freak3:
