Is it possible to chip a Sony DVP NS-300 so that I can play USA bought disks? Via the remote preferably!

The player can be modified, but not via the remote. It involves soldering and installation of new chips which you should not undertake unless you know what you are doing.

Add on to that the fact that there is a further mod for RCE and things could get tricky.
