Spot on! :D
Especially if you match the end time with 'pub closing time'. :thumb:

Tidgy 24 January 2008 01:12 PM

lol, tbh i could see it going for more on ebay than piston heads anyway, just have to watch out for the nigerians that bid lol

urban 24 January 2008 01:12 PM

Why on earth would you want to pay 25K or even the 18K for a 10 year old Jap car?

Firstly the interior will be ugly as hell & out dated.
Probably also be full of the 20+ dials the previous 3 owners have had fitted.

Seriously though.

Plus a new age car is going to be quicker, more refined, much more pleasant inside.

Cheaper to insure and run

Tidgy 24 January 2008 01:14 PM

you've never driven one have you urban,,, lol

Fantom 24 January 2008 01:21 PM

+ there are plenty of newages about, not so many 22B's though

tmo 24 January 2008 01:23 PM

do you own a scoob or know anything about them??

rigga 24 January 2008 01:35 PM

With over 1300 posts id have hoped he would know what the 22b was all about..........

andyseston 24 January 2008 01:52 PM

the 22b is the daddy and faster than any new age if i am right and looks better and only 400 made.

but still would not pay 25,000k for it maybe if it was around 14,000k

Tidgy 24 January 2008 01:54 PM

not the only one on the market for that sort of figure

redeye 24 January 2008 02:01 PM

somebody must have thought it was good,it says its sold via pistonheads.

I'd really be inclined to double check you're information.

Spec C and variants for example

have you ever driven one, they drive quite a bit different due to wider track etc

Brun 24 January 2008 04:38 PM

Urban - are you saying you've owned 5 22B's since January 2005?

Yeah, only once though.
It was a jap version too, not UK.

Yes it was quick - but so it should have been because that was in 2000.

OK, so you're saying you'd prefer the old knackered 22b?

Personally I'd be going for the new age car, with its refinements and substancially more advanced technology.

I currently have an MY05 STI.

I would prefer the 22b over the MY05.
Stick your refinements where the sun don't shine :D

urban 25 January 2008 01:28 PM

Fine. :D

Scoobyspanners 25 January 2008 01:35 PM

22B would be my choice too, it is THE classic impreza that most of the Rally fans would want, and in my opinion, the only one that is likely to hold or increase its value in the future.......may not be the fastest any more but is the most desirable. The new age cars will never be worth the same money as a 22B at the same age.

jd5217 25 January 2008 01:53 PM

I have a 420bhp o4 sti uk and would still have the 22b if i could.
